The Aiken Corporation is a community based, private non-profit corporation established to formulate and implement economic development projects in fulfillment of plans and strategies identified in Aiken’s Strategic Plan. The mission of The Aiken Corporation shall be to:

• Build a strong and stable economic base through the attraction of jobs, investment, and a diverse mix of businesses
• Enhance the downtown’s role as the City’s business and cultural center by assisting existing businesses and attracting new businesses and uses
• Increase the residential density of Old Aiken through rehabilitation and development of infill housing.

The intent of this mission is to enhance the quality of life in Aiken through the support and initiation of appropriate development projects
